The Times: The Best New Hotels for 2016

Dec 2015: The final piece of coverage for 2015 and one we're incredibly happy with! The Times (UK) listing Limalimo Lodge as one of their best new hotels for the New Year. "On an escarpment by the Simien Mountains — considered by some to be Africa’s answer to the Grand Canyon — Limalimo Lodge is one for adventurous nature-lovers. The 14-room lodge opens early in the new year, with a down-to-earth yet contemporary style: wood walls, thatched roofs, designer sofas by coffee tables made of old logs, fireplaces, and bedrooms with tall windows facing across the mountains."

Dec 2015: Limalimo Lodge features in the New York Post as one of their top 19 places to visit in the New Year. "Something of a luxury-tourism pioneer in the area, this 14-room, sustainable property opens in January on a 3,300-foot-high escarpment overlooking the mountains and canyons of a largely un-visted UNESCO-protected preserve in northern Ethiopia."

Explore the Wilds of Ethiopia in Style

May 2015: Ethiopia has been at the top of 2015's destination lists thanks to a wealth of new boutique openings. The most recent is the new Limalimo Lodge. Built using earth, thatch and wood, it is co-owned by two local Simien Mountain guides who ensure the neighbouring Limalimo community will benefit from the tourism. Its position in the Simien Mountains National Park will allow guests to explore the highlights and take part in traditional practices such as brewing tej, the local wine.
