the Limalimo Lodge artist in residence programme
Introducing the new “Limalimo Lodge artist in residence” programme. A two week stay at Limalimo for two Ethiopian artists during the month of November.
To apply, you’ll need to submit 3 examples of your work, along with a 200-word statement explaining what you would like to work on at Limalimo during your stay. Applications are due 10 October 2020. (Please use the application form below.)
All artists are welcome: painting, sculpture, writing, woodwork, dance, music, etc. etc.
This year, two Ethiopian artists will be chosen to participate in this programme.
All accommodation, food and (local) drink costs will be covered by the lodge. You just need to get yourself up to the Simiens.
Note: this is not some cheeky way for us to get free art. Whatever you produce is yours. We’d really like to help you brag about it once you’re finished. But that’s also up to you.
Boring stuff: Joint applications are not permitted this time around. Limalimo will cover the costs of your stay at the lodge. Programme participants are responsible for getting themselves to the lodge (or at least to Gondar).
