Kids
Children are very welcome at Limalimo Lodge. We have a small zipline, a treasure hunt, and lots of games on site.
We have a limited number of cots and high-chairs, so please let us know when you make your booking if you’d like to make use of these.
We have two rooms with an adjoining door available for families. Please just let us know at the time of booking if you would like this room.
Children under the age of six will stay free of charge at Limalimo Lodge, if sharing a room with an adult or another child aged over six. If you’re staying with a child aged between 6 and 12, they will be charged at $40 each, if sharing a room with one or two adults. If they have their own room, they’ll be charged at 75% of the single occupancy rate. For more information on our child policy and rates, please see point 14 of our terms and conditions.
Internet
Please note that there is no guest internet access at Limalimo Lodge. We encourage guests to enjoy the mountains, and the atmosphere at the lodge.
Rates
Our rates are as follows.
Until September 2023:
Peak season (October through April): Single: $300 / Double: $445 / Triple: $550 / Superior View rooms: $565
Mid-season: (September + May 1st to July 15th): Single: $250 / Double: $370 / Triple: $495 / Superior View rooms: $490
From October 2023 to September 2024:
Peak season (October through April): Single: $330 / Double: $485 / Triple: $605 / Superior View rooms: $620
Mid-season: (September + May 1st to July 15th): Single: $275 / Double: $400 / Triple: $540 / Superior View rooms: $530
All prices are in US Dollars and are per room per night. Rates are subject to change.
Prices include: Accommodation, food, drinks (beer, domestic wine, soft-drinks, juice, water) and all VAT. The prices also include a $10 per night per guest charge that supports African Wildlife Foundation's park conservation efforts. We are committed to the conservation of the park and we feel AWF's efforts are the best way to achieve this.
The above prices exclude: Park entry fees, park scouts, vehicle hire in support of activities, non-local treks and activities and transfers to/from Limalimo Lodge.
Limalimo Lodge is located inside the Simien Mountains National Park and all guests must register for the park, pay entrance fees and hire a guide and a scout for the duration of their stay. You will need to be accompanied by your guide and scout whenever you leave the lodge grounds into the national park. Registration is in the park office in Debark, which is 5km from Limalimo Lodge and on the way if driving from Gondar. Please register before arriving at Limalimo Lodge and note that the park office is open from 8.30am to 12.30pm and again from 1.30pm to 5pm. If you have arranged transport with Limalimo Lodge the driver will stop for you at the park office.
The fees are currently as follows: Park entrance fee: 90etb per day per person, Guide hire: 1420etb per day per group, Scout hire: 400etb per day per group. Park rules are that fees must be paid and guides and scouts must be hired for every day you are in the park – this includes Limalimo Lodge. You need to pay for the guide and scout for each day, including part days, you are in the park, even if just a couple of hours, and also if you won’t be using them every day. There are additional charges for larger groups and you will need to take additional guides/scouts.

Cancellation Policy
As a small business, cancellations have a big impact on us. If you need to change or cancel your reservation, we ask you to let us know as soon as possible by emailing reservations@limalimolodge.com.
Cancellation of your reservation may incur some costs. If you cancel with more than eight weeks’ notice, we’ll refund you 100%; if you cancel with less than eight weeks’ notice, you will be charged. Please take a look at points 6-8 of our general terms and conditions to see these charges.
